Female Tutorial

This is a tutorial made for ^^

1) Make the outline before anything else.
I always make an outline before going into detail because it makes everything much, much easier as you progress through the drawing.
I draw symmetry lines to help with the angles and positioning of the body. (The symmetry lines are expressed as the dashed lines on the people. You don't have to draw the symmetry lines on the arms or legs, I just did that to be able to show how they can be used.)

2) Draw in proportion.
A tip that I have is looking in a mirror. I know it sounds strange, but it really does help with understanding the placement and size of objects.
Even though everyone has different body types, weights, etc., there are similarities when it comes to proportions. (I know that there are people who choose not to draw in proportion, since it is their style, and that is completely fine :3)

3) Angle & pose.
The angle is very important to adding emotion to an image. Posing assists in this as well. Use the symmetry line to help with this process.
Some of the lines will change, depending on the poses that you use. In the example I used, the shoulders and the hips will change angle. They will angle away from each other like > or < (if this makes sense XD) Also, the symmetry lines can assist in the placement of clothing. And the poses will affect how clothing should fall. When drawing clothing, think about how gravity changes how the fabric will hang.
